Online Safety at Home

The internet has many pros and cons and ultimately is what users make of it. It can be a wonderful resource for work and finding out more about our world, but there are also many dangers which we can be exposed to. The danger for children are sadly, many more.

Technology has come so far in a short space of time and so it can be difficult to keep on track of the latest developments, especially in gaming and social media. Do you know what your child is doing? Do you know who they are talking to? Do you know how to take control and therefore ensure your child’s online safety?

In School, we have a robust monitoring system in place to ensure that there are certain websites which cannot be accessed and access of potentially harmful content is flagged.

If you are concerned with your child’s online safety, please contact your child’s Form tutor, Head of Year or a member of the Safeguarding Team. Alternatively, you can always contact us by emailing [email protected] FAO Safeguarding Team: online safety.
